08.30 - Reciprocity Flags

Our main activity today was making reciprocity flags which show which each person has to contribute to the class and what they hope to gain from the class. I introduced the flags and then showed examples to illustrate what different possibilities there were. Everyone then had time to design their own flags which we shared out at the end of the period.

These flags will be hung in the room and we will add to them throughout the year.

Homework:

Find a writing journal to use for English this year.
- A composition notebook should be fine (Staples often sells them at this time of year for less than a dollar). The journal should just be one that you use for English only. You will not have to tear pages out of the journal.
