04.30 - Jumping to Conclusions

Our focus today was on conclusions: what goes into them and what makes them effective. Similar to our work with introductions, we began with what people already knew about conclusions and used those understandings to evaluate a conclusion (see quickwrite below). From here, we reviewed key elements of a conclusion and then evaluated sample conclusions and discussed them via a polar opposites activity (see slideshow, slides, and handouts below).
