04.07 - Revision Work

At the beginning of class today, we reviewed class performance on the in-class role model interview notes and writing that everyone completed last week. I returned work to those people that had submitted it last week and then reviewed class performance on this assignment (see graph and comments below). Everyone also had the opportunity to elect to go for a 100 on this assignment by responding to this bonus prompt (see graph comments below).

Everyone then had ten minutes to work on revising or completing this interview assignment with the information from the review of the assignment in mind. Then, I returned the other work that I had assessed over the weekend along with quarter 4 grade report sheets. Everyone had the rest of the period to work on revising or completing assignments that were returned or were below a 92 on their grade report sheet.

Anyone who finished completing or revising assignments was able to work on their occupations project. We will be wrapping up work on this section this week. Final write ups will be due at the end of next week (just before April vacation).

In the last fifteen minutes of class, I handed out set 14 roots and prefix sheets that people could begin working on. We will have the set 14 roots and prefix quiz on Friday.

In the last five minutes of class, I handed out interview note sheets and response prompts for a second role model interview. This interview features the same questions as the last interview and should be completed with someone from outside of our class. The response prompt focuses on using this interview, the in class interview, and the author's perspective to talk about what makes somebody a role model.

Homework:

Conduct your second role model interview with someone who is not in our class.
Use information from this interview to respond to the role model prompt.

Prepare for the set 14 roots and prefix quiz on Friday.
