03.03 - Assignment Reviews and Revision / Roots and Prefixes Set 11

At the beginning of class today, I reviewed several key assignments from last week (the summary found poem, reading responses to the article "The Racially Fraught History of the American Beard", and works cited and summary notecards for our occupations research).

I handed out grade report sheets and then individually handed back the featured assignments, reviewed class performance, identified strengths and areas for improvement, answered questions about the assignment, and then everyone had time to make revisions (sometimes for a 100) or complete the assignment. Then we would look at the next assignment (see below for the class performance review and feedback slides).

When everyone had had time to begin completing or revising their work, I also handed out set 11 roots and prefix vocabulary sheets. Everyone had the rest of the period to work on these roots/prefixes sheet and work on revising or completing this work.

Since a number of people had not shared their NoodleTools project with me, we also used the computers during this time to make sure that everyone had shared their project.
